Holiday Inn Helsinki City Centre, an IHG Hotel: what do users think?

gigo12: Rooms: 3/5

eLZĂ©: Holiday Inn Helsinki City Center is a modern hotel in the center of Helsinki, with an excellent location near the central station. The hotel offers comfortable rooms with free Wi-Fi and modern amenities. The restaurant serves Finnish and international cuisine, while guests can choose from a variety of drinks at the bar. The fitness room is open 24 hours a day, so guests can work out whenever they want. Well-equipped meeting rooms and business services are also available for business travelers.

amilcar forciniti: Very well located next to the central train station, right in the center.Rooms: Rooms a little neglected.

Prashant Shamarao: Huoneet ovat riittÀvÀn suuria. Ei ilmastointia eikÀ ikkunoita voi avata. He antoivat minulle pienen pöytÀtuulettimen, jonka laitoin sÀngyn viereen. Kylpyhuoneen Dove-saippuat ovat mukavia. Ei muita kylpytuotteita. Suihkun vedenpaine on hieman heikko. Aamiainen on yllÀttÀvÀn hyvÀ! Sijainti on paras, aivan rautatieaseman ja bussipysÀkkien vieressÀ. Kuva on rautatieasemalta hotellin vieressÀ. Hanavesi juotavaksi.

Kuten muut sanoivat, aamiaisvalikoima on suurempi muissa hotelleissa.

Craig Simons: huippuhotellina.

Mike Emery: 3/2024: currently major roadworks outside but still remarkably quiet inside.A lovely, upmarket hotel right in the heart of the city. Modern and clean ambience. Not one to choose if you prefer a great view but otherwise delightful.Rooms: Upgraded to an Executive Suite..... I have lived in far smaller places. Truly luxurious.

Kari: The breakfast was modest compared to the rest of the hotel's level.Nearby activities: A positive surprise was the jazz jams on Friday. A cheerful mood when eating.

Onni HĂ€llfors: A great hotel for Coldplay's gig.Rooms: Junior suite is the best option in this hotel

Martin Hildebrandt: We spent two weeks in the hotel. The service is extremely good, in particular we used and enjoyed the sauna and fitness intensively. The breakfast buffet is plentiful, unfortunately after two weeks it's no longer really varied because it's always the same thing - but that's complaining at a high level. We booked several months in advance and also paid a reasonable price. The location is also very good, you can be in the city center in just a few minutes. We used Uber for the transfer to and from the airport, which cost around €35 with a tipRooms: spacious, the closet could be bigger, was a little tight for two weeks. There is no carpet, but at least you can see that it is cleaned well. Bathroom absolutely okay, the bed was quite hard but that was in our interest.

Rachel Sgro: Will definitely stay here again. Very close walk to downtown. Great food. Great customer service. Also have a nice full gym, pool and sauna. This will absolutely be my go-to hotel for visits to Helsinki.Rooms: Super clean. Was able to cast to tv in room.Walkability: Short walk to so much in Helsinki.Food & drinks: Breakfast and dinner options were delicious.

Harry J: This is my go-to hotel in Helsinki. The massive gym is by far the best hotel facility in Helsinki. Just a 10-15 min walk to the railway station, Kamppi etc., and as a plus the walk is along a beautiful park waterfront. The breakfast selection is excellent, I'd definitely recommend as an add-on. On the other hand the lounge is a bit sad, I would not pay anything extra for that.

Daniel Lindblad: and add fresh orange juice. I would pay a few euros extra to get this.- water mixer in shower with thermostat instead of fiddly manual one.

James Lindstorff: Good experience, the rooms are really nice with a balcony on the top floor. The only thing to be aware of with those rooms is that there is a sky bar on site and if you are not into other people's music on the balcony then you should not book the rooms that are on top of hotels. They don't play very loudly, but enough that you end up closing the door.Walkability: The hotel is located at the end of the Esplanade over a single road so you can walk to most things in 15 - 20 minutesFood & drinks: There is an Italian restaurant directly on the ground floor plus a bar and lounge at the same time they have a sky bar which is open Tuesday to Saturday

Danny Darbyshire: Central location. Lovely rooms. Nice staff. Best breakfast of any hotel we’ve stayed in in Helsinki. It’s the one we always come back to.Walkability: Everything is nearby and easy to get to.

Simon Green: We had a skysuite for a 3 night stay. Everything was perfect from start to finish. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of staff to refresh plates, and plenty of fresh hot and cold options. As others remarked, rooms are a little tired and rammed with furniture, but perfectly functional and every amenity was available free of charge. Location was awesome and easy walk to most attractions and eating options.Rooms: Tired but functionalWalkability: Excellent

PĂ€ivi H: Hotel highlights Quiet

Reino Nurminen: We had accidentally booked a room with a bed that was too narrow for two, which was kindly mentioned by the person serving us at check-in. We were then able to change the room very cheaply to the "courtyard" side of the hotel, which had a standard double bed.Food & drinks: Breakfast with drinks is very versatile and tasty

Hotel Indigo Helsinki - Boulevard, an IHG Hotel: what do users think?

Alan Darra: We had a great time staying in the hotel Indigo. The hotel is very clean and has a nice modern style. Staff was really helpful and friendly. We were allowed to check in early which really made it easy for us just to head out to explore Helsinki. We absolutely loved the comfortable beds and the bathroom with roomy shower. We started our day with their breakfast of great variety. They offer a buffet and also ordered warm breakfast from a menu, so you'll be sure to find something you'll like. The breakfast was available until 11 am and late checkout at 12 suited us perfectly. We have absolutely nothing to complain about and hence we're happy to leave an honest 5 star review for the hotel.Looking forward to stay here again!

kellie: It is conveniently located for sightseeing, close to Kamppi, the central railway station and Hietalahti.Friendly staff, attentive cleaning, I stayed for 4 nights and had a very pleasant stay.I enjoyed the food very much every day.I will definitely choose this place again when I visit Helsinki.

8: -1 is due to breakfast service which I did not like. I stayed couple of nights. The breakfast remains the same throughout the stay which was really boring. Moreover the service of front desk is very food whereas people in the breakfast is relatively unfriendly and unkind and unfriendly and sometimes there was only one person who always had to let incoming customers await while she was cleaning tables or went to the backyard. The location is perfect and very convenient to go to anywhere. 3 stations from the central by the tram. The service of the front desk is very good and kind. The room is very big with modern furniture and items.I believe the price is quite reasonable in terms of its service and quality besides the breakfast. The breakfast is boring and too expensive with bad service.

Dev N: Great hotel, the lobby is on the smaller side but the rooms are great! Check-in took a longer than expected, but I happened to check in when there were a lot of people. Hotel lobby only had two-counters so they could accommodate for anything faster. The rooms are spacious and the shower is great! Breakfast was amazing. You get a hot dish and access to buffet table - so definitely upgrade for breakfast if you can. Breakfast time is strict and ends on time, which was perfectly fine for us - but did hear complains from other hotel-goers. đŸ€·đŸ»â€â™€ïžReally well located and walkable distance to all of the main destinations. Loved our stay!Rooms: Rooms are spacious and clean. Only small issue, tiny really, is that the only location the bathmat can be placed in the bathroom does cause the bathmat to be soak after two person showers. So we ended up placing it outside of the bathroom - not ideal but fine.Safety: Helsinki feels SO safe. And probably is. No worries at all.Walkability: Close access to everywhere. Easy walk and you can even stop by during the day to drop things off!Food & drinks: Breakfast was fantastic, lots of options! You can even try our traditional rice pie, smoked salmon, and other great dishes. They even had a super-food selection where you can add an extra boost to your smoothies, juices, and yoghurt!

æˆžéƒšć: A standard hotel from the IHG group. The room is very quiet. However, when it rains, the sound of the rain gets a little bothersome. The front desk is friendly and serves customers with a smile. I think it's a good hotel. I will be back again.

Niina Tunturi: A nice, small hotel in Helsinki with a good location. The premium room was spacious and clean. The room has everything you need for your hotel stay. The breakfast was varied. I also liked that the breakfast included one dish from the menu. You can park very well for 36e in the hotel's own hall - really easy. The service from the entire staff was really good and we felt welcome! I highly recommend!

Kurtis Lee: Excellent customer service - staff was proactive and engaging.Perfect location with trams nearby and walking distance to shops and restaurants.Rooms are comfy with amenities stocked.

DORIS HASEWEND: great hotel right on the harbor with excellent ambience!! The Skybar offers a fantastic view over the city!! The rooms are quiet and functional - the staff is very friendly and helpful!! Another plus is the tram station right in front of the hotel!!Food & drinks: The breakfast buffet is excellent!!

PETROS TSOUKALAS: Imposing and modern hotel close to the harbor and the city of Helsinki. 2 tram lines to the center right outside. Clean room, great pool with sauna and bar on the 16th floor. Unobstructed view. Very good breakfast with a wide variety of savory and quite sweet. Willing and helpful staff.Rooms: The Standard room is clean but a little small.

Anne: An absolutely wonderful holiday in this hotel! Stunning views, lovely air-conditioned rooms, a really versatile and luxurious breakfast with special diets also taken into account, a really good restaurant, friendly and helpful staff, a wonderful rooftop pool, and the beds in the rooms couldn't be better. A little more effort could be put into cleaning the rooms. All in all, a memorable holiday at the hotel, which I can warmly recommend! ❀Rooms: Absolutely wonderful, bright and air-conditioned rooms with beautiful views. The beds with big pillows were really good for sleeping.Food & drinks: Breakfast really rich, delicious and versatile!

Aleksei Starostin: A room with an excellent view of the sea and the city on the 9th floor, a good breakfast, a good gym, and a sauna. Superb rooftop pool.Noteworthy details: Superb rooftop pool.

Andreas Larssen: mean that the hotel's location is nevertheless good. Large, beautiful sky bar on the 16th floor. There is also a sauna, outdoor pool and fitness room on the 16th floor. The pool has a partial glass bottom and hangs outside the edge of the hotel. Cool!Standard rooms are quite small. And listen a little between rooms. Might be worth upgrading to superior. Good beds and a great view of Helsinki upstairs. Good breakfast and very good service at the hotel. Cheap car hire if you book through the reception at the family company Lacara. Recommended! Enjoy Helsinki, a somewhat forgotten but great city, which should be experienced. Thank you for having us!Rooms: Slightly small standard rooms. And listen a little between the rooms if the neighbor is engaged in bed activities. But good beds, minibar, very good pressure in the shower, also high up in the hotel, and otherwise fresh and nice.Nearby activities: Everything Helsinki has to offer; Svea Borg, Högholmen zoo, Borgbacken

Agnete NĂžrskov Nielsen: Stayed 5 nights in July 2024 and I can really recommend Clarion Hotel in Helsinki. The hotel is quite new, the rooms where clean and the breakfast buffet was excellent. The trams run every few minutes just outside the hotel.Staff was polite and professional.Thank you for a great summer holiday at your hotel!

Luigi: My wife and I have stayed at many boutique hotels throughout the EU, and had the opportunity to stay here this spring while visiting friends in HEL. The location is great; close to the train station, with quite a few places within walking distance as well, but what set this place apart is the staff and ambiance. We cannot say enough about the staff; friendly, inclusive to all, and you could easily tell they liked what they do. Breakfast was varied and fresh, and there's nothing like sitting with a throw in a comfy chair by the bar on a snowy night. Just a wonderful evening for tired travellers.

Christina Le: Excellent place to stay, even during renovations! The rooms are modern and clean. The location is good, only a 10-15 minute walk to the train station. The breakfast was amazing – probably worth staying here for the breakfast alone! It had everything from crepes and croissants to scrambled eggs and sausage to bread, ham, and cheese. I would come back again!

Alles was man braucht! Tony Manfron: Excellent breakfast, except for the coffee which is not the best and if you want espresso it costs 4 euros separately, but here in Finland these are the prices. Small room but fine for two, the bathroom on the other hand is just the right size. Good cleanliness, very comfortable bed and double choice of pillows. LEDs everywhere at night, including lights and displays. Patience.

Paul J. Diwiak: a few minutes walk away, 24/7 supermarket directly across the street. Staff very friendly, facilities in the room were great

ilaria vichi: A good hotel, offering a plentiful and varied breakfast.Free sauna. The rooms are comfortable, with the possibility of a space to work. The kettle is very functional for a good American coffee, tea or herbal tea. Refrigerator in the room and safe. Refrigerator in the room and safe. Television and excellent connection.Near the hotel there are supermarkets and the subway. Not far from the center.

brodziqq: Nice hotel, in a quiet neighborhood and close to the center. Very stylish inside. Tasty breakfasts. The only paranoia is that they charge 4.40 euros for a cappuccino because the price only includes crap. It doesn't make sense because the choice at breakfast is very large and paying for coffee is a bit weak, but the overall impression is positive, hence the 5* overall.

Leh F: Great stay, special mention to the team of reception staff, who answered all my questions and gave me countless recommendations for places I was looking for! The people responsible for the breakfast room, very attentive, and the person responsible for the kitchen, who got the hot dishes right like I've never seen before!I loved the place, I've been to other hotels in this chain, which didn't catch my attention as much, but this one was sensational... those responsible should congratulate the entire team for their work! The gym has a variety of machines, plates, weights and bars to keep you in shape during your stay! Thanks!Rooms: Spacious, hygienic, with temperature control and well-structured bathroom.Nearby activities: Close to the subway, with varied restaurants nearby.Safety: Very safe and family friendly environmentWalkability: There are a few meters from the metro.

Katariina: A small and friendly hotel in a good location. Perfect for two adults, with small children I would probably choose someone else. The breakfast was quite good, a basic breakfast, the restaurant was small. Maybe there should have been another gym worker. One had his hands full with work and e.g. the collection of dirty dishes was slow. Or alternatively, a cart to which the customers could also take the dishes if they wanted, we could have been taken, for example. All in all, however, a good experience, friendly people at the respa.

matti kerÀnen: Hey. Springsteen concert with nephew in your hotel for a long week. I felt welcome right away at the reception. The service is friendly and smooth, the atmosphere is like that of a family hotel. Breakfast plentiful and fresh. Scrambled eggs really good and gluten supply ok. The chef was cheerful, the blocker was friendly and the service was thoughtfully smooth. The level of cleaning is a bit shabby, but the dining room has good plaster and plank. The location is great in the middle, but a little away from the noise of the city center. I was left with a good impression of the hotel and the professional, friendly staff who met the customers as people. I recommend.

Liisa PietilÀ: Very nice hotel experience. The reception was cheerful, friendly and helpful. The room was clean and there was everything you needed. A small fridge was very necessary. The hotel is in a good location and it is quiet. The breakfast was varied and there were plenty of gluten-free products. Chimneys deserve a special mention. So good. Ilmanvaihto on uskomattoman hyvÀ! Vau, tÀÀllÀ ei ole mattoja. Keuhkot avautuvat.

Ritva-Liisa Pajukoski: Good hotel and great beds.Spacious rooms.What a breakfast👌😋

lawson stapleton: Lovely location for a family get away. The hotel has everything you need for a family.Rooms: Lovely and clean, but a bit outdated.

Aleksandrs Ambrosovs: Nice hotel, wonderful staff! The free parking is small and the spaces are almost always occupied.Rooms: Our room was quite spacious, two single beds and a sofa. The view from the window is also normal. There are mugs and a kettle in the room, and a minibar in the refrigerator.Nearby activities: For entertainment, there is a tennis court, SUP rental on the shore, and a cafe near the pier. The hotel itself has a swimming pool and a sauna, since the children ran away there on the first day.Walkability: Either by car or by public transport.Food & drinks: Breakfast is a buffet. Very varied. One of the waitresses speaks Russian.

shaker alkharraz: This my favourite hotel in HelsinkiThe locationViewStaffRoomBreakfastAll are the best at allThank you Hilton

Antti Partanen: As someone who grew up in this neighborhood, coming to Kalastajatorppa was like stepping into a time capsule. This iconic hotel has been one of the top addresses since I was a kid. It has received some upgrades, but in essence the hotel is how I remembered it to be. Oh, they added iglo rooms at the waterfront. Worth checking out for sure. All the staff were very nice. And, watching the sunset from the seaside restaurant is always a nice way to end the day.

Jari Turpeinen: Ruoka ja juomat: Loistava Ruoka ja Henkilökunta.Parasta A RyhmÀÀ 👍10Sijainti: 5/5

Anssi Shemeikka: Klassikkohotelli on yhÀ iskussa. Asiakaspalvelu kaikkineen erinomaista.

Predrag Milanovic: Sijainti on upea!

JINUK SONG: TÀmÀ on ympÀristöystÀvÀllinen hotelli.

KingOfQueens 1: I booked for the spa and had a lovely time. I went to the wrong locker room and the staff nicely helped me to locate my things.I had a cocktail which was made by a machine but it was still good not too sweet.I didn’t use the sauna since it was +26 outside anyway.I mainly used the jacuzzi.Walkability: Easy to locate with busses.

Ramin Raminy: Great hotel for a reasonable price with breakfast. The rooms are quite nice and modern. The hotel also offers a spa and a gym with a rooftop bar. The location is almost outside of Helsinki, near Pasila. There's public transportation available nearby. The breakfast was tasty but the options were less than I expected which was a bit disappointing. The hotel also has a playroom for little ones. There are toys, boardgames and table tennis with TV to watch cartoons on.

Esa-Matti Kivioja: The room was very clean, but so small that you couldn't walk to the other side of the bed from the end of the bed, you had to go over the other. The toilet was also very small, you could barely turn around there. I do understand that they want to build compact-sized, reasonably priced hotels, but now it had gone beyond that limit. So even 50cm more width in both directions would be much better.

Marjaana Martikainen: Rooms: Huoneet pienet, mutta erittÀin toimivat. Erillinen lavuaari vessan ulkopuolella plussaa. SÀngyt mukavat.Noteworthy details: Parkkihalli nÀppÀrÀ. Bussilinja suoraan hotellin edestÀ. Hese kulman takana. Kattoterassialue pieni, mutta toimi.

Henrik Dobewall: We organized a large academic event with 70 international participants in Helsinki who mostly stayed at Valo hotel. Service was great, friendly and flexible accounting for all our diverse needs and wishes. Did not hear a single complaint from our group.Food & drinks: Great breakfast and lunch. Good price for value.

Pekka PietikÀinen: .Food & drinks: Hotel restaurant had good food and the summer deal "kids eat free" + two for one drink deals at the spa made things cheap too! Breakfast was good too, tho a bit repetive on the third morning.

Jekaterina P.: A good hearty breakfast: porridge, omelet, eggs, vegetables, cheeses and cold cuts, smoothies, Karelian pies, muesli, sweets, various breads, tea, coffee. Tasty.2

Katja: , a decent gym

Arto KerĂ€nen: You almost want to give five stars, and in terms of price/quality ratio, this hotel deserves it!The appearance suggests that this is perhaps going back decades ago, and of course a small clip from the movie Moonlight Sonata came to mind, well, it's good anyway 😄Right from the reception, however, the situation changed, and the hotel lobby was modern. With lounges and workstations. The staff was professional and friendly, it really left a good feeling. The room was clean and the other facilities were also maintained. You can conveniently get your own bottle of juice cold in the minibar.Sauna and pool facilities are a big plus! You usually don't get to enjoy such entertainment in hotels of this price range. The breakfast was plentiful and open until late, from a vacationer's point of view. The quality of the breakfast is also better than in many more expensive places đŸ‘ŒđŸ»Street parking for 4 hours at puck spots and you could buy a parking space in the yard at a reasonable price.Access to the city center by bus and metro, but what's the point, these public ones work here đŸ‘đŸ»I think I will come here again!

Leena Heinonen: We stayed at the hotel with a group of four people for a one-night Bruce Springsteen concert. The hotel as a whole was a positive surprise. The breakfast was excellent, our superior room was good and the pool area was a nice addition. Definitely to continue.Hotel highlights Quiet

Vesa Ylinen: Good service and really good food. Good and clean rooms. The sauna section and the swimming pool area are clean.Rooms: Clean roomsFood & drinks: Good food

Piergiorgio Terrentin: Hotel in a quiet area on the outskirts of Helsinki which can be reached in a few minutes. Clean, sufficiently large rooms. Excellent breakfast, sweet department was missing. Helpful and trained staff.Food & drinks: Good breakfast.

M K: The exterior is a bit rough and old-fashioned, but the interior is refreshingly modern. The room was spacious and the bed good. The breakfast was one of the best experiences in a long time and the staff was friendly. The only minus comes from the location, but the bus connection is nearby.
