lawson stapleton: Lovely location for a family get away. The hotel has everything you need for a family.Rooms: Lovely and clean, but a bit outdated.
Aleksandrs Ambrosovs: Nice hotel, wonderful staff! The free parking is small and the spaces are almost always occupied.Rooms: Our room was quite spacious, two single beds and a sofa. The view from the window is also normal. There are mugs and a kettle in the room, and a minibar in the refrigerator.Nearby activities: For entertainment, there is a tennis court, SUP rental on the shore, and a cafe near the pier. The hotel itself has a swimming pool and a sauna, since the children ran away there on the first day.Walkability: Either by car or by public transport.Food & drinks: Breakfast is a buffet. Very varied. One of the waitresses speaks Russian.

Antti Partanen: As someone who grew up in this neighborhood, coming to Kalastajatorppa was like stepping into a time capsule. This iconic hotel has been one of the top addresses since I was a kid. It has received some upgrades, but in essence the hotel is how I remembered it to be. Oh, they added iglo rooms at the waterfront. Worth checking out for sure. All the staff were very nice. And, watching the sunset from the seaside restaurant is always a nice way to end the day.

Rob Watkins: Overall a good stay, but a few issues!Not the usual quality one expects from a Hilton.The rooms were nice, clean and comfortable. Housekeeping staff did a great job.One morning the hot water broke. The staff were not very apologetic about this, but we were given money off on checkout so do ask if things genuinely go wrong - I would never ask usually but donât think you should have to pay for a cold shower! Iâm surprised about the previous review of breakfast! We were really disappointed.All the hot food was lukewarm at best. This was really disappointing as there was a good selection, but cold bacon and eggs isnât really that tasty!The sauna and pool area were nice! đA previous review mentions the pool is cold, it is but I think thatâs the point with a super hot sauna!!! đ

Finnish bread, cheese, Karelian pies, salmon mousse, etc. The view from the restaurant's vast windows was lovely.You reach the hotel by metro and bus. I warmly recommend this hotel if you don't want to stay at the city centre but in the midst of the most beautiful Finnish nature and still in Helsinki.

Lucia Rinaldi (Lucy): Very good food but unhelpful staff: having to be at the port by 7.30 to catch the 9am ferry to Tallinn, we asked for breakfast to be brought forward by a quarter of an hour, which would start at 7am: even though they reassured us that they would open for us at a quarter to 7, they didn't. I therefore feel like not recommending it to anyone who has to take the first ferry to Tallinn!

Matti: Our room was great, had everything we needed, except a view. The room had a very small window in the corner making the room in itself a bit dark / gloomy. Bed was great, and the space as well, on top of good bathropes. Shoes they could not find that could fit a 46 / 11 size.The service on the other hand was perfect and everyone was nice and quick.

Martin Hildebrandt: We spent two weeks in the hotel. The service is extremely good, in particular we used and enjoyed the sauna and fitness intensively. The breakfast buffet is plentiful, unfortunately after two weeks it's no longer really varied because it's always the same thing - but that's complaining at a high level.We booked several months in advance and also paid a reasonable price.The location is also very good, you can be in the city center in just a few minutes.We used Uber for the transfer to and from the airport, which cost around âŹ35 ââwith a tipRooms: spacious, the closet could be bigger, was a little tight for two weeks. There is no carpet, but at least you can see that it is cleaned well. Bathroom absolutely okay, the bed was quite hard but that was in our interest.

Harry J: This is my go-to hotel in Helsinki. The massive gym is by far the best hotel facility in Helsinki. Just a 10-15 min walk to the railway station, Kamppi etc., and as a plus the walk is along a beautiful park waterfront. The breakfast selection is excellent, I'd definitely recommend as an add-on. On the other hand the lounge is a bit sad, I would not pay anything extra for that.

Robert Gentile: I have stayed at this hotel 3 times since 2019 and will stay once before I leave for Australia.Positives: I highly recommend the Sauna rooms, these are unique to Lapland hotel and are a lovely touch. This hotel is extremely clean and nicer than some other 5 star hotels in Helsinki. Showers are perfectly clean, with no signs of mould or grout discolouration - which is common even at 5 star hotels. Breakfast is suburb, with unique offerings. The whole hotel has a nice dark and moody feel, which I love, and I think the music they play throughout the hotel works well with this. The location on Bulevadi is wonderful and is my preferred location in Helsinki, close to the design district.Negatives: Restaurant service has been poor on two occasions in that the kitchen was too busy to serve us and we couldn't eat at the hotel for dinner. This is because they were unexpectingly busy - I wasn't too bothered by this as there are plenty of other places to eat around the area, but just an observation.The hotel gym isn't really a gym, but rather an exercise room with some basic equipment. There is a bench press, some kettlebells, some cardio equipment, and some odd machines that I feel weren't picked out by someone who actually trains. Gym's are important to me when travelling, so I would probably need to choose somewhere that has a proper gym if I was staying more than two nights.

Luigi: My wife and I have stayed at many boutique hotels throughout the EU, and had the opportunity to stay here this spring while visiting friends in HEL. The location is great; close to the train station, with quite a few places within walking distance as well, but what set this place apart is the staff and ambiance. We cannot say enough about the staff; friendly, inclusive to all, and you could easily tell they liked what they do. Breakfast was varied and fresh, and there's nothing like sitting with a throw in a comfy chair by the bar on a snowy night. Just a wonderful evening for tired travellers.

The breakfast was amazing â probably worth staying here for the breakfast alone! It had everything from crepes and croissants to scrambled eggs and sausage to bread, ham, and cheese. Jonathan Quigley: We had a fabulous stay in in Villa Taavetti at the Hawkhill Cottage Resort in July of this year. I couldn't speak more highly of our experience. Super convenient location to the airport, stunning setting right be a beautiful national park with amazing views across the lake. The villa itself was spotless and came equipped with everting our group of 6 people needed. We were even spoilt with amazing weather! Couldn't recommend the resort enough as a place to relax, reconnect with friends, family and the glorious natural beauty of Finland! Huge thank you to our hosts for making the stay so wonderful.
