    4worldlovers: Blondie Bakes closes its doors on the 14th of January, 2023, after nearly 9 years of baking.

    If any of you have had even a 5-minute conversation with me, you’ll know that I LOVE the idea of changing things up! It’s what inspires me to grow - daring to take the leap and figuring it out along the way. If these past two years have taught us anything, it’s that it’s okay—dare I say even healthy—to change direction toward the next meaningful experience.

    With that, I have chosen not to renew Blondie Bakes’ lease in Kauppakeskus Citycenter. We will be closing our doors at the end of the day on the 14th of January, after nearly 9 years of having the privilege of being in service to our customers and our employees.

They were able to accommodate our small requests in the cake as well, even in shorter time frame. Cake tasted excellent! I have to try their cupcakes, but I am sure to revisit the place for it!

    Taneli HĂ€rkönen: A very nice guy. A really nice old lady sold us the pastries, even though she was said to be just hanging around. Could it have been Rönttösrouva herself? The atmosphere was relaxed, the pastries/savouries were really good and the dark roast coffee was extremely delicious The coffees from the Lappeenranta small roaster Lehmus Roastery were on the shelf both to drink and to buy. A really nice experience 😊Parking: There were a few seats directly in front of the cafe. The 30-minute R-kiosk had plenty of free spots, but there was only one 2-hour spot. So there are places, but they are certainly full sometimes.
