We ordered starters and main dishes for two and everything was as tasty as it looked. The food came fast, hot and was simply delicious. On top, the owner is very friendly. We can definitely recommend to come here for dinner if you love Indian food. If you‘re not sure you should give it a try. ;-)
We came to have lunch in a group of three. It was Saturday around 5pm. The place is located quite centrally, would take a 10 minute walk from the central station. The restaurant is not very big, around 10 tables for 4. They had plenty of empty places when we visited. We ordered a main dish each and some drinks. The food came moderately fast. The food was tasty, everything looked fresh, portions were sufficient. Each dish was around 16-20 eur. Alcoholic drinks ~6-7 eur. The place was clean, the service was nice and fast. The interior, although pleasant, could be refreshed, looked a bit outdated. Overall We enjoyed our visit.
The host was polite and welcoming. The chef is a true master! for starters, we had curry prawns and veg samosas; mains: mixed grill platter and butter chicken. The finer details were as good: their naan, mango drink, gulab jamun, and Indian tea! Thank you, Chef!

A friend from the area recommended that we try Monal as we were visiting from the U.S. The staff were attentive and provided recommendations based on our tastes and dietary restrictions. The food was absolutely delicious and reasonably priced. We sampled the garlic chicken tikka, samosas, butter chicken-but the naan...SO DARN GOOD! During our ten day stay in Helsinki, we dined at this restaurant three times! It's a must try! According to my boyfriend, it is much better than anything from New York. Pics to follow.

Mohammed AL-Hajri: An excellent and clean Indian restaurant, but the meat and chicken are not halal. I ordered shrimp biryani and it was extremely delicious, with a green salad and yoghurt with cucumber.The hosts were very helpful and I will definitely come back again.

Urpo Martikainen: Very clean and cozy restaurant space. The takeaway portions are delicious, and the transport packages are the best I've come across. The food is suitably spicy and not diluted for tourist taste. My recommendation is Chicken Tikka Masala. Dal Makhani is also good, so is Butter Chicken

Nelli Kivinen: The very best Indian soup I've had here. My favorite is fish korma, which you can't get anywhere else. Butter chicken and chicken tikka masala have also been eaten many times. It's really handy to call and order takeaway. The place is not fancy, but the safka is good and especially the naan bread. The food also tastes good for a 9-year-old boy.

Matti Tella: For more than 15 years, we observed a small restaurant from the neighbor before we dared to try it. It would have been worthwhile to come much earlier: the chicken and cream cheese portions with different sauces were excellent, plentiful and tasty.
