Lee Gately: A bottle of Chianti, a pizza starter and two main dishes. All were worth the price. All good. But our two-hour visit was painfully slow. The waitress-in-training was not ready for the job, and the experienced staff should’ve known better. Long after we’d finished 1/2 a bottle of wine, the pizza starter arrived along with one main dish. Pizza and main nearly done, we asked about the chicken, staff running by but ignoring us. “Oh, sorry. It’ll be worth the wait” Other couples came and went, seated right beside us. When finished, we asked for the check and few times. Again, other tables got attention, but our waitress kept nodding then would never return. After more than two hours, we had to walk to the desk and force the issue. Maybe they’re short of staff, but they should never let the waitress work unassisted on “her first day”

Jaakko Antero Remes: Nice, I would say a bit homely but clearly professional atmosphere. A suitable size space where you can spend your own time near Lake Garda. A small trickle with the main course, but a really generous compensation for an insignificant mistake in itself. The portions are well designed, simply executed and taste good. A few of the presentations were modified, but the taste was authentic Italian. I warmly recommend spending an Italian evening even with a large group. I recommend it👌

Zillo: Busy restaurant in the heart of Helsinki city center. At the lunch time there was constant que but had to wait maximum 10 min to be seated.Had the soup + salad buffet combo and both were ecxelent. The salads were all very tasty and the foccacia bread fabulous.The coffee/tea was not included in the lunch which was unfortunate.
Heikki Kegg: We ate a light dinner in this nice bistro-style restaurant. The food was delicious. My roasted escargots were one of the best and my companion's whitefish was excellent. The restaurant is elegantly decorated, a mixture of classic and modern. The service was in English and was ok. The price level was reasonable considering the location and quality. We can recommend.Parking: It might be difficult to find a parking place but there are two parking halls near enough.
Henrik: The dinner experience was average, but boy what a lunch place. The pike wallenbergs were delicious and a little lunch wine on the side on the terrace crowned the experience.Portion lunches work better than the buffa on Albertinkatu in the same lafka, which is of course not a bad option either.

Wagner: The idea of trying lunch at Pompier at rush hour was admittedly a bit risky, the queue when we arrived stretched out onto the street...But you shouldn't let that put you off, many people just pick up their take away. So the waiting time was kept to a minimum at around 10-15 minutes.The lunch menu is simple, either a warm menu with a simple salad at €14.50 or the soup and salad buffet at €13.50 per person, but the quality and taste are high.All in all, a restaurant that we would happily recommend.
