Yves Schlingloff (Dr.Lando): Best possible big city campingPerfect for Helsinki visits.Playground, grill, TV room, everything is there, clean and everyone is trying hardWalkability: 5 minutes walk to the tram to Helsinki
Pekka Palolampi: Very nice and freshLocation: 4/5 âŠ
Mikko Myllyniemi: conveniently happened during our visit. Definitely again.
M: Very large campsite just outside Helsinki. Right at the metro station. There are enough sanitary facilities and very clean. There are several cooking compartments and the showers work perfectly. Rastila Camping is the perfect starting point for a visit to Helsinki.Safety: Entrance controls at the gate and at night in the campsite are closed to outsiders. Felt very safe.Walkability: The Rastila metro station is just 200 meters from the campsite. Everything can therefore be easily reached by public transport.

Maria Mikolasek: Definitely worth a visit! After a warm welcome, I immediately felt at home. The peace and quiet of this place made me sleep well; in the morning I woke up listening to the enchanting sounds of birds singing. Kai always surprised me with his delicious food, his impressive canoe trips and his stories from all over the world. @Kai: Thank you for the many unforgettable impressions!
Mark C. Fischer: Ideal base for wonderful hikes in the less frequented national park around Nuuksio. Very charming and clean huts, quiet place including sauna. The host is very knowledgable and helpful, speaks fluent English and German.Rooms: Stayed alone in a hut for two people. Basic but very comfy and clean.Nearby activities: Wonderful hikes around the lakes and woods in the Nuuksio area.
Nikolai Kuznetsov: Service: 5/5
Nicky Cauwelier: An unforgettable experience! If you want to recharge your batteries in nature and come into contact with Finnish culture, then you have come to the right place. The host immediately makes you feel at home in this place and makes sure you have everything you need to make your stay enjoyable. The campsite has good sanitary facilities, an extensive kitchen and comfortable tents. In the evening you can relax around the campfire or in the Lapland hut.Thank you Kai for your hospitality! Stay the person you are forever! Many greetings from Belgium!
Sofie De Rudder: , hygienic and spacious sanitary facilities, room for a campfire and even a Lapland hut! What really made the trip unforgettable was our host Kai! From morning to evening he was willing to help you with everything. On top of that, he was also our local guide and introduced us to Finnish culture. We went fishing, hiking, canoeing, mushroom picking and even learned to make coffee the Finnish way âïž.Kiitos Kai for the great experience at your campsite. Hopefully I can come back again someday! đđ»
Stephanie Mertens: Our stay at Nuuksio Hostel and camping was more than enjoyable. The facilities such as tents, showers and outdoor kitchen were tidy and up to standard. The campsite is easily accessible and not far from Helsinki and the perfect getaway to explore Nuuksio park.We made daily use of the breakfast that was included, the kitchen to prepare our own meals and the fridge to store our food and drinks. There were also bicycles available which our group used for a quick trip to the grocery store. My personal favourite was the sauna, fire pit and lapland cabin where Kai's guitar and personal anecdotes kept us warm on colder evenings.By just calling him our host we don't give him enough credit. He was not only our host but also local guide, storyteller, teacher and at times personal barista. Kai surprises us multiple occasions with authenthic artisanal delicacies such as a hand-picked mushroom dish and homemade mustard. He taught us how to catch and cook our own fish, went mushroom picking and took us on a beautiful and adventurous canoe trip that was really rewarding. Kai is very helpful and has such a warm and interesting personality. He made sure we had everything we needed to feel right at home. Nothing was too much to ask for. Kai is one of the most authentic people I know, which makes his campsite a special place that takes your holiday to the next level. It was an experience I won't forget soon.If you want to explore endless Finnish nature through the eyes of a local, and relax to the fullest, this is the campsite for you.
Sara Besseghir: Staying here was the best decision we could have made during our trip to Finland. We used the tents and were provided with everything we needed: matresses, warm and clean sleeping bags, pillows and also cuttlery and cups/plates.Nuuksio NP is so beautiful and calm, and just around the corner of the camping. The camping has very good facilties: plenty of clean and comfortable toilets and showers, a well equiped outside kitchen, a fireplace, a beautiful Lapland hut, etc.But what really makes this place special is Kai, he is the kindest host you could wish for, really going the extra mile to make your stay unforgettable. Anything you need, just ask him and he will help you out, always with a smile on his face! 100% would recommend staying at his place.
Maren Bergholz: Dear Kai, thank you again for allowing us to be with you!Nuuksio is a great place, just before Helsinki. There are 2 cottages and plenty of space for tents, an outdoor kitchen and dishes are also available.Kai is a very nice host who tries to fulfill all your wishes to make your stay an experience. It's about 30 minutes to Helsinki.
Patricia Paulina Drumm: The owner Kai is a man of honor! He does everything to ensure that his guests feel comfortable with him and gives the best insider tips for activities around the campsite. Its charm and humor give the place a special aura; you definitely shouldn't miss it. The facilities are also great: warm showers, campfire hut, summer kitchen, huts to rent if necessary. Thank you for everything, Kai đâđŒThe stay with you will be remembered forever!
