The TRAY Restaurant is located in an excellent location in the heart of Kluuvi street right in the centre of Helsinki. A cosy and relaxed restaurant where you can easily drop by to eat or have a drink after a shopping trip. With a relaxed atmosphere at the restaurant, you can come and enjoy tasty delicacies with a big group of family or friends.
The unique dining concept of the restaurant is based on its abundant, creatively compiled portions made for a group of people on a night out. The ingredients are always fresh and carefully selected. The colourful, creatively compiled portions, genuine flavours and bountiful flavour combinations are at the core of The TRAY restaurantâs philosophy.
The same philosophy is as well realized on the side of the bar, where guests can order, for example, shared drinks or refreshments. The concept of the restaurant is based upon enjoying signature delicacies to be shared with a relaxed company. In addition to its flavourings containing Mediterranean flavours, there are, of course, mouth-watering desserts. Considering its quality-price ratio, you are for sure not going to leave the restaurant hungry.
The TRAY's kitchen is open from morning till late evening, please check our opening hours. In addition to its Ă la carte menu, the restaurant serves a hearty breakfast and a rich lunch buffet with delicious warm food with a hearty and colourful salad bar will be served on weekdays.

Yannick Vericel: Really another great experience in this essential restaurant. It's not the most affordable restaurant but it remains a must. I love shared dishes with Lappish specialties. The atmosphere is friendly and the staff is very attentive to customers. A warm atmosphere that would make us forget that we are in the capital and waitresses in âtraditionalâ outfits. Tiina: Excellent service! We arrived hungry last minute and kitchen was closed. Our server quickly checked with the kitchen crew if they could take our order and luckily they did. We ordered the reindeer steak and traditional fish dish and a salad to share and raspberry tiramisu. The reindeer steak melted in the mouth and the fishes were delicious. Our servers were polite and friendly. Definitely we want you to be back again.

Arto Leinonen: Nice place for brunch. At the beginning, a sufficiently diverse antipasto buffet, where, however, we stick to the Italian selection and do not try to force everything on offer for everyone. For the main course, there was a poached egg with a brioche roll, prosciutto, warm smoked salmon or zucchini and halloumi and, of course, the appropriate sauce. The whole table party chose the warm smoked salmon option. A moderate dose, maybe a hint of silence. The dessert took its toll. There was a strawberry-rhubarb pavlova with crispy meringue on the bottom, tasty cream and a sweet and tangy strawberry-rhubarb compote on top.

The restaurant is a perfect distance from the National Opera, where our group's evenings were directed.The service was very friendly and prompt, the drinks and food arrived at a suitable pace.The opera pizza was heavenly and could be eaten with the edges for days, even if the stomach had not pulled any more.The prices have remained very reasonable compared to the level of the food.The only small minus was the Irish coffee I ordered as a dessert drink, which was a bit too creamy, and the coffee didn't taste enough, at the end of the meal a rather greasy taste remained on the palate.All in all, a good experience again and a wonderful drink.
Camillo SĂ€rs: One of the better Italian restaurants in Helsinki. The menu is not that long, but includes several Italian classics. The calamari is to die for and many of the mains would not be out of place in a trattoria in Italy.I enjoyed the wines - they seem to be carefully selected to balance quality and price.Definitely a good place for a relaxed dinner with some friends over delicious food and with friendly service.

The prices haven't gone all the way up to the ceiling - despite the good location.The service was really friendly and the food was prepared quite quickly. However, we had to wait for the bill as if we were on a sunny beach, even though there weren't many customers and we used sign language. However, this did not seem to be due to the carelessness of the waiter, I guess it was just attention elsewhere.Unfortunately, both of the appetizers I wanted were out of stock, so I ordered beef tenderloin with chianti sauce.The menu recommended taking two side dishes, so I took pesto potatoes and truffle gnocchi. Even one portion would have been enough as a side dish, even for a tall man. The potatoes were good, but the pesto was thin. The gnocchi were a little cool, and not really to my taste or my group's taste anyway. However, the steak itself was a top-notch performance: high-quality heel, perfect doneness. The sauce went great with it.I will visit again, with some minor details this could be a five star restaurant.

Petteri Pentti: A cozy, if somewhat compact space in a good location. We visited here in early spring, so the terrace was naturally not in use due to the cold weather, but in the summer, the view of the park and perhaps the possibility of eating outside certainly brings its own feeling to dining.At the weekend brunch, several different salads and small snacks were offered from a standing table, and you could order the hot food you wanted from the menu. The Skagen was very tasty, and the "English breakfast" didn't leave me cold either. For dessert we found panna cotta, various cheeses, brownies and sweets. The price was in line with the versatility and quality of the food.The service was very friendly, and it seemed that the staff genuinely wanted to make the experience as good as possible for their customers. Thanks for that!
Kati: Went 2 times for brunch. First time in the new year, when the food was 5/5. The second time the so-called on a regular weekend, when the supply was slightly weaker. The "main dishes" and the dessert selection were excellent both times. Even for a 3-year-old, more than one meal and the main course were fine. The best brunch so far in the Helsinki area. Clean premises. Will definitely visit again one day!
